BIRMINGHAM — Two men killed in a single-vehicle crash were identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
Michael Dalton Steadman, 21, of Adamsville, and Jackson Louis Godfrey, 23, of Sumiton, were both pronounced dead on the scene at Center Street and 4th Avenue North, in Birmingham.
The crash happened on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, around 12:38 a.m.
Coroner Bill Yates said Steadman was driving a truck and Godfrey was the passenger. The truck left the roadway and struck a power pole.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the cause and circumstances surrounding the wreck.
