PINSON — In a high school football game that was originally scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2, Pinson Valley will now host Mortimer Jordan on Thursday, Oct. 29.
The Class 6A, Region 6 tilt was postponed three weeks ago due to a COVID-19 spread at MJHS.
For the fourth-ranked Tribe, that contest will follow this Friday’s visit to Jasper and serve as a tune-up for the first round of the state playoffs, which begins on Nov. 6. Pinson Valley (6-2, 5-0) clinched the Region 6 title with a road win over No. 3 Clay-Chalkville (7-1, 5-1) last week, pairing the Indians with the 4-seed coming out of Region 7 — likely Southside-Gadsden — in their playoff opener.
Mortimer Jordan (1-7, 0-5) will travel to Gardendale this Thursday night and close out its first 6A season at Pinson Valley on Oct. 29.
