CLAY — The city of Clay announced its Christmas tree lighting scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 29 at Cosby Lake, was canceled due to the threat of inclement weather.
The city of Trussville had a tree lighting event scheduled for the same day but organizers decided to reschedule the tree lighting at the mall.
The Trussville Christmas caroling and tree lighting event will now be on Tuesday, Dec. 1, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held on the mall and the public is invited to come out and kick off the Christmas season. Santa will be on hand.
