TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City School system approved a 2% pay raise for employees to match a statewide pay raise of 2%.
The raise was approved by the Board of Education during its regular meeting on Monday, June 14, 2021. It will go into effect for the 2021 – 2022 school year.
Superintendent Dr. Pattie Neill recommended the raise and the Board approved it unanimously.
The 2% raise from the state was passed during the Legislative session earlier this year. The last time the state provided a pay raise to teachers was in 2019 when they gave a 4% raise.
