Jimmy Morton, age 86, of Trussville, went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2021. Jimmy was very active in his church and his community. He was a long-time member of Trussville First United Methodist. He was a member of many fraternities. Jimmy was an avid golfer. He enjoyed working in his yard and keeping up with Alabama football. He was proud of his country and loved his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jimmy was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Lynn Morton. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; children, Teresa Pope and Cindy Egger (Bobby), Pam Ritchie (Jim), Mike Brasher (Kathy); ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. and on Monday, August 2nd from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral for Jimmy will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. Pastor Steve Strange will be presiding over the service.
