BIRMINGHAM — The City of Birmingham has closed its warming stations for the evening due to rising temperatures.
According to the City of Birmingham, tonight’s overnight temperature is forecast to remain in the 40s. Birmingham notified guests last night and this morning regarding these plans.
The warming station at Boutwell Auditorium will resume the evenings of Tuesday, January 25, and Wednesday, January 26, from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m.
In collaboration with One Roof, those seeking shelter today should also reach out to our ongoing partners: The Salvation Army, 2015 26th Ave. North; the Firehouse Shelter (for men), 626 Second Ave. North; and First Light (for women), 2230 Fourth Ave. North.
