TRUSSVILLE — Kemp’s Kitchen plans to open a new location in Trussville.
After a fire on Monday, November 29, Kemp’s Kitchen announced they are opening a new location at the old Mike and Mike Complete Auto Care location on Main Street.

Construction will begin later this week to give the building a complete makeover. In addition, Kemp’s Kitchen is adding new menu items.
“We’re looking at three to four months, build time, which should start in the next week,” Kemp’s Kitchen owner, Brian Kemp, said. “We’ll have all types of new menu items.”
Kemp’s Kitchen Gardendale location is implementing robots that Kemp said will “assist in cooking and serving tables.” Kemp said that if the robots perform well, they will be added to the new Trussville location.
“With the way labor is right now and getting employees, we needed a way to assist people when someone’s out sick,” Kemp said. “When people or a lot of people get sick, they’ll be off for a week now. So you need something there to assist the people that are still there working.”
Kemp said they are looking forward to re-opening a new location in Trussville.
“We’re just excited about coming back to Trussville, we’re just happy that it is very close to our old location,” Kemp said. “Very thankful to the city of Trussville for assisting us in finding that location.”
