TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department (TPD) arrested two people for multiple charges on I-59 on Friday, April 1, at approximately 10:43 p.m.
According to the TPD, 38-year-old Johnny Sego and 40-year-old Stephanie Tucker were arrested when they attempted to steal a trailer off a disabled white truck on I-59 Northbound near the 139 mile-marker.
Officers responded to a disabled red truck blocking the right lane on I-59. The red truck had blown out both the right-side tires when it attempted to pull the trailer.
Tucker was found to have warrants out of Shelby County, and Sego was found to have warrants out of Shelby County, Jefferson County, and Cullman County. Tucker is being charged with theft of property first degree ($30,000 bond) and unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle ($15,000 bond). Sego is being charged with theft of property first degree ($30,000 bond), unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle ($15,000 bond), using false identity to obstruct justice ($15,000 bond), and unlawful possession of marijuana second degree ($6,000 bond).
TPD obtained warrants on Saturday, April 2, through Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.
