JEFFERSON COUNTY — Weather conditions permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation and its contracted partner, Ozark Safety, will conduct roadway sign repair operations on I-20/59 northbound between the Academy Drive and 18th/19th Street Exits (Milepost 111).
- Work will begin Monday, June 20, at 9 p.m.
- This work will require the closure of the right (outside) lane in that area.
- Work is expected to be completed in one night.
- All lanes are expected to be open to traffic by 1 a.m.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this maintenance operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
