BIRMINGHAM — Police here have identified Rodriquez Amison as the man found shot dead on Saturday, July 16.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced Amison deceased.
The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was involved in an argument at the residence involving a firearm. During the argument, the victim was shot. Details at this time, are unclear; however, detectives are speaking with witnesses from the scene.
Officers took an adult female into custody on the scene; she was interviewed at the Administration Building then booked into the Birmingham City Jail pending formal charges. The suspect’s identity has not been released at this time.
This is Birmingham’s 68th murder investigation of 2022 including 6 justifiable death investigations.
