TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Fire and Rescue responded to a roof fire at Rodney’s Scott’s BBQ on Saturday, September 3, at approximately 9:41 p.m.
According to Fire Chief Tim Shotts, the cause of the fire has yet to be determined, but the fire investigator will be there today.
Shotts said damages to the roof were minimal and mostly contained to the roof.
“Rodney Scott’s sustained minor damage to the roof,” Shotts stated. “Cleanup and repairs are underway and they may be back open as early as today.”
Rodney Scott’s released the statement below in regards to the roof fire:
“Rodney Scott’s Trussville location sustained some minor damage to the pit room exterior late Saturday night. There were no injuries nor any damage sustained to the interior dining room. Our team is addressing the repairs needed to get the restaurant open as soon as possible. Customers are encouraged to visit our Homewood and Avondale neighborhood locations and to check @rodneyscottsbbq Instagram and Facebook accounts for updates on when the Trussville store will re-open.”
