PINSON — Pinson Elementary School will be hosting its First Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration this Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022, from 5-7 p.m.
This event will include great food from food truck vendors, crafts, games, music, dancing and more.
The food trucks will begin serving customers at 4:30 p.m., 30 minutes before the event begins. They will be located at the PES bus ramp.
“Pinson is a unique and beautifully diverse community,” Kindergarten ESL teacher Amanda Swift said. “At Pinson Elementary School, we are proud to have 190 multilingual students from pre-K to second grade. Our Hispanic students are the inspiration for our Hispanic Heritage Night, which celebrates what makes them and their families special. Our Hispanic community is a supportive, tight-knit, generous community that is always eager to participate and give back to our school. This event is our school’s way of giving back to them by celebrating their culture and traditions and honoring our students’, families’, and community’s Hispanic heritage. Our hope for this event is for our Hispanic students and families to take pride in sharing their culture with their peers and community.”
