CHEROKEE COUNTY — A two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Cedar Bluff woman on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at approximately 9:19 a.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Clair M. Bryant, 22, was fatally injured when the 2008 Jeep Cherokee that she was driving collided head-on with the 2020 Dodge Durango driven by Taleena L. Kelley, 53, of Cave Spring, Georgia.
Bryant was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kelley was injured and transported to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia.
The crash occurred on Alabama 9 near Cherokee County 80, approximately three miles north of Cedar Bluff, in Cherokee County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
