PINSON – Despite rain in the forecast, the businesses of historic Main Street in Pinson still plan to bring Trade Days to the community this first Saturday in December.
On Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Pinson residents and those in surrounding communities are invited out to enjoy a vintage car cruise-in, local dining, and get some Christmas shopping done with local booth vendors.
“They’re saying it’s going to rain, but that’s not going to stop me,” said Patti, of Patti’s on Main Street Flea Market and Consignment Shop. “We already have all the vintage cars coming; we already have Hometown Bank bringing the ATM machine. … I’m not going to let it go.”
In addition to the booth vendors, the public is invited to shop local with the businesses of Main Street, including Price’s, Barking Bee, Celina’s Boutique, Love Life Naturals, Neixy Jewelry and more.
“I’ve already started advertising,” Patti said. “Price’s is going to have all the antique vintage cars over there and the ATM will be here for everybody’s convenience. The road is open; everybody loves having the road open.”
Next month marks the beginning of Pinson Trade Days’ third year bringing the community together to support Pinson’s small businesses and historic district.
“I’m going to keep doing it. I’m going to do it every single month,” Patti said. “I don’t care if it’s cold; I don’t care if it’s raining. I don’t care what it is, because we still have businesses on Main Street to pick it up.”
