BIRMINGHAM – Track and field teams from Hewitt-Trussville, Center Point, Clay-Chalkville, Moody, and Springville competed in the Ice Breaker Challenge at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Saturday.
Nearly 150 teams from Alabama and Mississippi participated in the one-day event.
The meet was divided into a morning session and an afternoon session. Center Point competed in the opening session, while Hewitt, Clay, Moody, and Springville competed in the afternoon session.
Medals were awarded to the top three finishers in the first session, and medals were awarded to the top six finishers in the second session.

Boys 60 meter dash: Jeremiah Franklin, Center Point, champion
Boys 60 meter hurdles: Dylan Cope, Hewitt, Jaileb Ballard, Center Point, runner-up (first session)

Boys 4X800 relay: Hewitt
