ARGO — Police in Argo are warning residents to be wary of a man reportedly approaching homes as a representative of Direct TV and attempting to gain access.
Police said on Jan. 13, officers were dispatched to several subdivisions in reference to a suspicious person.
Callers described the male to be wearing a blue shirt and black jacket posing as a Direct TV technician and attempting to gain access into the home to fix the TV.
Officers have identified the suspect and an investigation is currently ongoing.
“Please be aware of your surroundings and report anything that appears to be suspicious,” police said. “Direct TV have stated they will not send anyone out at random and will contact the home owner days prior to any work being done.”
