The Hewitt-Trussville Lady Huskies basketball team turned in a solid defensive effort to shut down the seventh-ranked Chelsea Hornets 39-32 Friday night.
The Hornets’s offense, averaging 50 points, was held to seven points in the first half.
Chelsea only managed a single free throw in the first half before getting their first basket late in the second period.
“I was very proud of the way we played defense; we were very active, said Hewitt head coach Tonya Jackson-Hunter.
The Huskies, 20-5 (4-0), defeated Chelsea last week 44-38.
Jordan Hunter led Hewitt with 15-points.
The Lady Huskies travel to Oak Mountain Tuesday night.
