ST. CLAIR COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, has claimed the life of a Gadsden woman, according to Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
“Angela Palmer, 49, was fatally injured when the 1998 Toyota Tacoma that she was driving left the roadway, overturned, struck a tree and caught fire,” Bailey said. “Palmer was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The crash occurred on U.S. 231 near Hoffman Lane, approximately five miles south of the Ashville city limits, in St. Clair County.
No further information is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
