BIRMINGHAM — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is investigating a double-fatal crash that happened on Interstate 459.
The crash happened in the southbound lane, near mile marker 29, which is at the I-20 interchange.
Troopers were called to the wreck around 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021. Two people from Montgomery, Courtney Knight and Tommy Cooper, both 34, were killed.
