LINCOLN — A single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a pedestrian in Lincoln.
According to a release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the wreck took place at approximately 8:20 p.m. Monday, April 5. Police say Frankie Waters, 51, of Lincoln, was struck by a 2009 Honda Accord as he was walking on Interstate 20.
Waters was later pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on the eastbound side of Interstate 20 near the 165 mile marker, less than one mile west of Lincoln. Nothing further is available as ALEA Troopers with the Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
