MONTGOMERY –Clay-Chalkville High School alum, Christian Crawford will serve as vice president for the Auburn University at Montgomery Student Government Association for the 2016-17 school year.
Christian, a 2015 CCHS graduate, ran unopposed for the office.
“We have a plan that will improve internal operations in student government, and we look forward to improving campus life and the university as a whole,” Christian in a statement on social media. “However, we can’t do this by ourselves. We look forward to working with the administration, student involvement, and student affairs – to make Auburn University at Montgomery better than ever.
Crawford received national attention when he offered a prayer at the Clay-Chalkville graduation ceremony for a woman who fell ill. The prayer was caught on video by The Trussville Tribune and has viewed over 1.3 million times since publication. Crawford was interviewed on Fox and Friends, as the story went international.
