BIRMINGHAM –Vulcan Trail, a popular walking, jogging and biking path along the north face of Red Mountain has been the scene of three armed robberies in March and April.
Police believe the same man may be responsible for all three crimes.
Sergeant Bryan Shelton of the Birmingham police department said the suspect is a dark-skinned black man with slim build, standing over 6 feet tall, according to WAFF.
The suspect has used a gun in the robberies and assualted the victims in the latest incident, hitting the male victim with the gun. The victim required stitches for his wound.
Edwards said there were two victims in each of the robberies which occurred on occurred on March 21, March 26 and April 14. Two of the incidents were at 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. and one at 1:10 p.m.
