HOOVER — In another update in the ongoing story of Paul Edward Acton Bowen, the former evangelist has been indicted on charges relating to child sex abuse. According to ABC 33/40, Bowen was indicted for allegedly molesting a Hoover teenager.
The indictment was handed down by a grand jury of 16 people on May 4 for charges of sodomy in the second degree and enticing a child to enter a vehicle. Prior to this, Bowen had been jailed in Etowah County on similar charges.
According to the report, Bowen has been accused of sex abuse by six people in Etowah County. He has several other charges of child sex abuse in other counties and from outside Alabama.
