“Life With Father” will be presented at ACTA Theater in Trussville beginning next weekend.
Performance dates are April 12-14 and April 19-21. Show times are at 7 p.m. on weeknights and Saturdays, and 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Tickets went on sale March 25 and are $12 for adults, $8 for students/children and $10 for those who are 60 years old and older. To purchase tickets, call 205-655-3902.
“Life With Father” is a peek into the Victorian drawing room of the Clarence Day family
. Day is a Wall Street broker who rails against his staff, cook, wife, sons. It’s about the inability of the world to live up to his impossible standards. The tables are turned when mother begins the struggle to have father properly baptized. Based on a collection of autobiographical stories published in 1939, “Life With Father” continues to hold the record for longest-running non-musical on Broadway.
“Life With Father” will be directed by Emily Lunsford. The cast includes Howard Green, Kim Dometrovich, Matt Mitchell, Alden Williams, Nicholas Wetzel, Joseph Lunsford, Judy Wilson, Charlotte Edens, David Gregson, Greg Hively, Adam Valentine, Erica Egan, Noelle Gunn, Lori Sutter, Dawn Allen and Lucy Lunsford.
