SYLVAN SPRINGS — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a domestic violence incident in which a 33-year-old woman is said to have shot her 41-year-old husband in Sylvan Springs.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a report of a woman shooting her husband at the 200 block of Oak Lane in Sylvan Springs just after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday night. When they arrived, they found a male victim dead at the scene.
“The 33-year-old woman remained on scene and was taken into custody to be questioned by detectives. It is currently unclear what led to the shooting,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
As the case remains under investigation, names are being withheld pending notification of family.
