Hewitt-Trussville varsity softball came out on top at Wednesday’s game against Siegel, putting up a score of 1-0.
Pitching in that day’s contest was excellent for both sides, with Molly Cobb of Hewitt-Trussville allowing zero runs, giving up only one hit, striking out nine and walking one. Cobb had the mound for the Huskies for five innings.
Sophie Goliver had the mound for Siegel. She pitched for four and two-thirds innings. She gave up one hit and one run. Goliver struck out three Huskies.
Husky Crystal Maze got one hit for Trussville in two at-bats.
The Huskies committed zero errors in the game while Siegel had one.
