MOUNTAIN BROOK — The man charged with capital murder in the shooting death of his estranged wife was booked into the Jefferson County Jail Wednesday night.
Jason Bragg McIntosh, 45, is charged with the murder of 31-year-old Megan Louise Montgomery, whose body was found on Sunday in the parking lot of the Mountain Brook Athletic complex, just below Mountain Brook High School. She had been shot several times.
McIntosh was originally taken to the Mountain Brook City Jail but was transferred to Jefferson County at 6:13 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, according to jail records.
Montgomery graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School and went on to graduate with a master’s degree in communications management from UAB.
She volunteered on the junior board of the Greater Birmingham Human Society.
