BIRMINGHAM — Lemak Health is adding a pair of new physicians to their office, as Dr. Kenneth Jaffe and Dr. Jordan Case will join the Lemak team.
Jaffe, a native of Birmingham, graduated from the Univ. of Alabama, and received his medical degree from the UAB, where he finished his orthopedic surgery residency. He is a board-certified orthopedist. He focuses on general orthopedics, orthopedic oncology and adult reconstruction.
Jaffe completed his fellowships at Harvard Univ., Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital in orthopedic oncology and adult reconstruction. He then returned to Birmingham where he was on staff at UAB Hospital before going into private practice.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Jaffe to Lemak Health,” Dr. Larry Lemak of Lemak Health said. “Dr. Jaffe’s colleagues appreciate his expertise in complex cases and diagnostic challenges. He has focused on non-operative management of orthopedic conditions for the past 15 years and has developed an interest in regenerative medicine which includes stem cells and the use of other blood derived products to promote healing.”
Also joining the team is Case, who was a varsity baseball pitcher at Davidson College, where earned his undergraduate degree before completing medical school at the Univ. of South Carolina.
Case earned fellowship credits at Santa Monica Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Group. His internship in General Surgery was completed along with his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Health.
Case is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon with a fellowship in sports medicine.
“It is a true pleasure to welcome Dr. Case to the Lemak Health team of physicians,” Lemak said. “He is currently researching acute changes in shoulder-range of motion and is fellowship trained in sports medicine with a focus on shoulder, hip, and knee arthroscopy.”
Both Case and Jaffe with work in Trussville, rotating between other clinics.
