Special to The Trussville Tribune
TRUSSVILLE — In an effort to increase opportunities for students, HTHS will have a revised schedule for the 2016-17 school year. A lunch/plus hour will be embedded in the middle of the day, according to Trussville City Schools. This will enable students to get their lunch from the cafeteria and take with them to multiple “lunch and learn” opportunities. Offerings will include tutoring, make-up work sessions, study opportunities, club meetings, ACT prep and more. The schedule for each week will be posted so students will know room numbers for the variety of meetings that will be ongoing throughout the year.
There will also be a change from late arrival to early dismissal on Thursdays. This is a progressive schedule to give students opportunities to pursue outside activities that they may not have time for before or after school.
