BIRMINGHAM — An argument at a home in east Birmingham led to a shooting death early Thursday morning.
Officers with the East Precinct responded to a call of someone shot around 1 a.m. Thursday, according to Carol Robinson.
The incident occurred in the 200 block of Tucker Avenue.
Authorities found a black male who had been shot at the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Birmingham police the victim has been identified, but his name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from an argument the victim had with another man over burglaries that happened at the residence recently.
It is believed the victim pulled out a gun first before the other man also pulled a weapon and fired. The suspect was taken into custody by authorities, but no charges have been filed against him at this time.
