BIRMINGHAM — Two teenagers were killed in a traffic accident in east Birmingham on Monday morning, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
The two were traveling southbound on Oporto-Madrid Boulevard when the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with oncoming traffic in the northbound lane. It is not known why the driver lost control.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office later identified the victims as Quinton Lavell Jackson Jr., 16, and Jhalien Hargrove, 14.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
