Bryan Hancock was arrested and charged with attempted murder. That charge has since been upgraded to capital murder and Hancock is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
Investigators said Young was shot in the head in the parking lot of the restaurant and was transported to the hospital by Trussville Fire and Rescue for treatment.
When officers arrived, they were told two suspects were still on the scene. The officers located the two people and took them into custody for questioning.
It was determined the incident started after the suspects parked their vehicle in a manner that blocked Young’s vehicle. Police determined an altercation escalated into the shooting.
