From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — Thanks to public, the Trussville Police Department has identified a man who is alleged to have shoplifted from a local store.
The TPD posted on Thursday that the man captured in what appears to be a Home Depot pushing a shopping cart that contained several items, one of which appeared to be a battery-powered trimmer, was identified following the police department releasing the man’s image on Facebook this past Monday.
Though the police department applauded the man for his dedication to maintaining a healthy yard and for striving to promote clean energy, the department was less than thrilled about the means in which the man obtained the items, which is alleged to be through shoplifting. As such, they released his image on Facebook in the hope that someone would come forward and identify the man.
Thanks to social media, that appears to have paid off.
The TPD posted that they will release more information once warrants are issued.
