CLAY — Clay Elementary School has exceeded its goal for new technology and a book vending machine. As part of the fundraiser, students learned character-building traits with this year’s character theme, Grand Land Adventure, and get donations from family and friends leading up to the big celebration event day.

Dr. Jacqnaii Finkley agreed that if the school reached $8,000 by December 6, 2022, he would get slimed; within 48 hours of posting a video to the social media platform Tik Tok the school had done just that.
Clay Elementary School posted a new video with a new goal to reach their stretch goal of $10,000, and if they get the new goal, Finkley has to dress up as Santa for a whole school day.
Well, the school raised over $12,000 and will be receiving the new technology and book vending machine. For reaching its goal Clay Elementary School has two events planned for this Friday, Dec. 9. One is sliming Finkley, and the other is making Vice Principal Alison Walker an ice cream sundae.
Clay Elementary School would like to thank everyone who helped them reach their goal.
In other news, Clay Elementary is also planning its third annual Deck the Halls for Thursday, Dec. 15, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Clay Elementary School. There will be food trucks, vendors, and a chance to meet Santa.
