TRUSSVILLE — Close friends of former Hewitt-Trussville and Clay-Chalkville teacher Hal McIntosh announced McIntosh passed away on Monday, Aug. 17, 2020, after a battle with coronavirus.
“For 30 years he was one of my biggest supporters and encouragers,” James Posey, a close friend of McIntosh, posted on Facebook. “He was like a dad to me and loved me like I was his own.”
McIntosh was a theatre teacher and was one of the first teachers at Clay-Chalkville High School. He was hospitalized for several days and friends say his brother, who he cared for, is hospitalized with coronavirus.
Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
