CLAY — Raindrop Car Wash in Clay is now open. The car wash is in the old Fred’s location, off Deerfoot Parkway, after a major remodel and renovation. The car wash is offering free washes on Saturday, March 20, 2021.
Owner Tara Buchanan said the automated car wash consists of a drive-thru express tunnel. The entrance to the tunnel is in the front of the building, where the doors are. Cars travel to the back of the building and come out to the left side where there are indoor vacuums. Outdoor vacuums are also available. It is similar to the Raindrop Car Wash in Grayson Valley. The business is also in the process of building a location in Trussville, which is scheduled to open sometime in the fall.
There will be a full staff during operation hours.
The Clay location also has a training center that will be used for all Raindrop Car Wash locations and for other car wash companies and vendors across the country.
Everyone with a monthly membership to Raindrop Car Wash can use any of the locations. The Trussville and Clay locations will be the seventh and eighth Raindrop Car Wash locations in the state.
