TRUSSVILLE — The 39th annual Trussville City Fest will be Saturday, May 4, 2019.
There will be music, food for purchase, a free and expanded kids’ area including bounce houses, face painting, games and more. For kids of all ages and adults, there will be hamster balls, a balloon twister, a mechanical bull, a magician, demonstrations and more.
For pet owners, the Pup Strut will begin at 1 p.m. You must register your dog from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Dog Stop tent. Categories include Most Talented and Cutest Outfit.
New this year will be a Battle of the Bands. Prize money includes a $500 cash prize for first place, $250 for second place; $150 for third place; and $250 for the crowd favorite. The first place band will perform at 6:30 p.m. on the Capps Painting Stage.
The festival will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mall in historic downtown Trussville (225 Parkway Drive for your GPS). Admission is $3 per person and free for kids two and under and seniors 65 and older.
The festival is produced by the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce, and its presenting sponsor is Trinity Contractors. Other major sponsors for this year’s festival include Coca-Cola, Amerex Corporation, Massey Stotser & Nichols PC, Bryant Bank and the City of Trussville.
